Leslie Emmert-Buck, MD, PhD
Dr. Leslie Emmert-Buck, a board certified ophthalmologist and cornea specialist, joined MidShore Eye Surgical Center in 2004 after completing a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery. She completed a combined MD/PhD program at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. After finishing an internship at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, she returned to the University of Maryland for an ophthalmology residency. From there she spent a year at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia to complete a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Emmert-Buck practices general ophthalmology and is a fellowship-trained cornea specialist. She is a member of the American Medical Association, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She performs cataract surgery, cornea surgery including DSEK (Descemet's stripping with endothelial keratoplasty), and refractive surgery (LASIK).
Derrick W. Shindler, MD
Dr. Derrick Shindler a, board certified opthalmologist, joined MidShore Eye in 2005 after completing an ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. He received his medical degree from Temple University and completed his internship at Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He practices general ophthalmology and performs cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery, eyelid surgery, and refractive surgery (LASIK).
